Another sign that "soccer mom" is creeping up on me!

I have become a person with magnets on my fridge - what has happened to me???? Please note the big HAPPY FACE on the fridge. This is Zack's first note home from Miss Brown saying he was great today. It'll be up there for a few days and then into Zack's kindergarten file it goes! Magnets are one thing!

And, here is Zack having his afternoon snack of half of a pear and a handul of nuts. Yeppers, that there is a healthy snack. He loves fruit and tolerates the nuts for me! Did you know that if you eat a few healthy nuts a day, it can prolong your life up to seven years? Josh had the same snack and dug it although both begged for chocolate covered rice crispy treats so they are very normal little boys!

Next pic is Zack's homework page. Last week his name was written Zcok. Now look at what a week has done! Uncle Mike taught him this one.

The weather is cool, and there is no rain. It has been very nice out lately. Sophia enjoyed wearing long pants today with her favorite tennies (slip on vans with hearts). She also enjoyed hanging out at home and playing catch and letting me chase her around the yard. It was great fun!

My time at home is going to come to an end soon because I am beginning to aggressively pursue a job. Staying home is great, but honestly, even if I could stay home full time, I'd want a part time job. There is just something about getting out of the house to make money instead of spend it that is comforting! Sophia will be just fine in preschool for a time and then with graham.

Today Zack came home with a note saying he had a GREAT day!!! His teacher wrote that he read the word O R A N G E. I was jazzed, and he was so proud of himself. He also earned his third Kapow ticket for being a good friend.

Josh had a good day, and is eagerly counting down the days until his birthday - six more days! He is eager to open his presents and to eat cake. These are two of his favorite things! And, Graham, Auntie Victoria, and 3 week old baby Torie are coming to celebrate with him! He is doing well in school too! He has already read two chapter books, and he is only six. He reads beautifully with inflection. Graham will be so proud when she hears him. He's sitting on his bed reading now as he forgot to bring home his homework two days in a row. So no park or television tonight to help him t0 remember. He is a very logical boy so this made sense to him.

Kenny had a good day. He was quite offended by a boy who made fun of another Chinese boy for his slanted eyes. He said, "That was discrimination." I was like woe, there, are you going to go into Human Resources or what? LOL He seems to be enjoying school and keeping up with the craziness of junior high. He is over at the park now playing basketball with Michael working his skills.

Stephanie had a good day. A guy at work was flirting with her today! She says that he looks like Dave Chappelle and is funny as heck. He calls her Jennifer because he says she looks more like a Jennifer. She told him that her name is Stephanie, and he said, "So, your nickname is Jennifer"! So, yes, Stepha has earned yet another name to go with the long list: Stephanie (given at birth), Pee Wee (given by her siblings because her feet took forever to grow), Steph (as called by those who prefer one syllable names), Stepha (name given her by Zack and Sophia), and now Jennifer (as given by hot funny guy at work with a gap between his two front teeth)! That, my friends, is her description which is funny because a couple people in our family have had gaps in between their front teeth!

Mike was a little grumpy today. He said something about standing on his feet all day at a register that no one really uses. His feet hurt but never too much for basketballin'! He's over there now coaching the younger guys.
