I just got off of the phone with my sister and nanny, Stephanie. She said that Zack is doing splendidly well. He was dancing on the bed and is now playing Surf's Up on the XBox 360 with Josh. We are on the upswing.
Zack is very pleased with what has transpired. He of course would have chosen to live w/o the pain, but he definitely was not happy with the alternative. He was fully aware of why he was going to the hospital, and he knew exactly what the doctor was going to fix - his owies as he calls them. He had owies before surgery. After he is healed, that pain will likely be a thing of the past. For that, he and I am very pleased.
There is so much debate about circumcision and all that surrounds the decision whether to do it or not. Sometimes it is a necessary "evil" as is this case. So, for those who filled in the blanks arbitrarily, wise up.
What matters most is that Zack is doing well and has checked out the situation thoroughly and is very pleased. I can hear him now saying, "Sweet"! If you know him, you can hear it too! If you don't, your loss.

i'm #1 haha beat that
Heather, congratulations on being the first comment! Wow, you even beat Liz!
I can tell you Zack was 80% himself last night! We played cards, fought in the living room, and ate sunflower seeds together (don't tell Deana!). Woohoo!
I'm so glad he's doing better. And, he got some pretty awesome toys out of the deal!
Hey, I had to create an account. I couldn't post first! I think this round shouldn't count. But, I'm glad Gina reset the blog anyway - you go, Gina.
Deana, you're an awesome mom. You did nothing wrong. Parenting sometimes forces difficult decisions that don't always feel good but are still the best thing for your child. You keep doing what you think is right.
I'm glad to hear that Zack is doing better. Soon he'll be back to the normal life...whatever that means.
Hey Deana! I had no idea you were getting such bad comments about your decision. If they can't post their name, they don't count, but that is easier said than done. I am sad that there are people giving you a hard time. You are doing a fabulous job with the kids! Part of what is so cool about you adopting them at this age is that they have an appreciation for you that doesn't come if they are born to you or if you had adopted them as babies. Unfortunately, the world is always going to have an opion about what you are doing, but the payoff with the kids makes it worth it all!! Keep strong and stay close to the Lord and you won't have to worry about your decisions. YOu are loved and prayed for daily!!
Gina, Deana, & Wanda,
FYI - news from ECCU for next week: For the EC*Connect upgrade extravaganza next week, HR has graciously approved an extension of the Friday Casual dress code. Friday casual dress has been approved for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (and Friday, as usual)!!
Just in case you didn't hear...
