If you're ever in Coeur d' Alene and are craving a kickin' burger, you should go to Crickets! They have a jalepeno burger that is to die for!
Here is a view of downtown CDA.
Enjoying a walk downtown climbing on everything they lay their eyes on...
Yesterday I posted about Mudgy and Millie. We found Mudgy downtown today. He still hadn't noticed that Millie was on his antler.
Her is a view of the lake from The Coeur d'Alene resort!
We saw twin Santas today! The kids were a little confused.
Next we found Mudgy in the park, but he still hadn't found Millie!
Such an awesome house right across from the coolest park ever!
This tells all about the park that the kids love!
Zack absolutely loves climbing on the forts.
Super Granny takes the kids on the tire swing.
This is a woodcarving in the park. Notice it is carved directly from a tree stump that has not been uprooted! This is the best picture of an eagle I got today! (darn)
We found Mudgy again at the lakeside. This is where he finally found Millie. He could see Millie's reflection in the water! He figured out that Millie had been with him all along.
The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Time to make a gingerbread house! Lauren was in charge. What a great help she was!
Here is the finished product.
And then the two moms said, "Have at it"!!!!
And this was the end result...
Mudgy finally able to relax on the lake.
Now we are going backwards in time to this morning when we went to Higgen's point in search of Bald Eagles swooping down to catch salmon.
Here is how the process works, and there are literally dozens of eagles all around!
I did not have a great lense for pictures so please forgive the quality of the photos, but this next pics give you an idea of just how awesome they are to watch!
The kids climbing high - Super Granny was nervous!
This here is called a "bowl of soul"! It tastes a lot like a Mexican hot chocolate but less sweet. It makes any hike more enjoyable! Try one if you ever visit!
Rock climbing...
The stratification just amazed me. The picture doesn't do it justice. I cannot believe that people don't believe in God!!!
Hiking straight UP...
Lake Coeur d'Alene - well a very small part of it!
The kids got to play at a summer camp site up at the top of the hill. They we little maniacs running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Good times!
The pictures tells you how cold it was NOT. It was about 41 degrees, but after our hike and the way the sun was shining, we were sweaty! Even the coffee was set aside!
I couldn't help but think about what the Bible says about our needing to soar like eagles. Watching them soar so effortlessly was seriously one of the most amazing experiences. I can remember hearing that we should soar above our problems which takes so much less effort. Watching these eagles made me realize that soaring can be so peaceful.

Looks like the kids had a great time. It's amazing how grown up they look from the last time I saw them.
