We started out our day at The Bakery by the Lake. The kids love their trip there each visit because they know they get cupcakes for breakfast!
A scrunchy snowgirl!
Evidently we were sledding in cougar territory! Look at the size of that paw or is it a claw?????!!!

Sophia and Zack with Kyndell and Dani
Beautiful...
Uncle Dreamy gives Zack a push! It was especially hilarious in church yesterday when Sophia called Jim Uncle Dreamy in front of the pastor!!!
Super Granny gets in on the fun! Today was her birthday, and the kids said that this was the best birthday party ever! Happy Birthday, Juner!
Burrrrzzzzy! Do you know how much I love the smile on those little faces?
WIPE OUT!!!
Can you see me now?
YIIIIPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEE!
UMMMMMM, this sign is hilarious! It pretty much points straight to the ground. So ummmmmmm, can we assume they're telling us to go to the center of the earth? BTW - we were in Montana!
Kyndell and Dani catch some air!
Zack gives Uncle Dreamy a push!
Praying for lunch... I guess I had my eyes open when Uncle Dreamy was praying!
Nothing like yummy hot dogs in the snow! Zack and Sophia could have eaten six!
For some reason, the snow reminded me of being in Russia. I had lots of emotions running through my veins. Seeing the kids out there playing and laughing knowing Zack was wearing the same jacket he had when I picked them up from their orphanages, made me travel down memory lane.
Crazy kids! Yep, Super Granny is still a kid too!
Sophia gets buried!
Super Granny joins in on the snow piling!
The final product!
Snow beauties...
I wonder who lived in this house before it was boarded up. I wonder how many precious moments took place here. Now just a shell of what it used to be and yet there is a beauty that can't be mistaken.
We ended the day with June's bday dinner of crab cakes (YUM!), tri tip, potatoes, salad, and cocunut cake (YUMMY) followed by a game of charades! Lauren had tons of fun! She is such a sweet girl. I hope Zack has sense enough to pick a girl like Lauren one day - whoa, it is way to soon to be thinking about that!

No fun comes without hard work! Look at them climb!

Mostly I felt so happy that these two are home and living an awesome life filled with love. But, I'll have to admit that I did have some sad moments feeling sentimental and missing some other times of laughter in our lives. Then I realized how good God is. He knows we are seasonal creatures, and as I see it, He brings change in our lives when He knows we're ready just as summer turns to fall and fall turns to winter. We get just what we need when we need it, and if we go about worrying about tomorrow or even living in various hopes and dreams, we will miss out on today. Who knows where the road leads until we venture beyond the bend...
