A Day at the Beach with Claudia

This is my high school friend Claudia.  We've had a great time hanging out lately.  After 18 or so years, we haven't changed much, and yet we are so much more comfortable in our own skin.  It's nice to have such a level headed can do friend in my life right now.  :)  The kids LOVE her and call her Glaudia! LOL!

I couldn't help but take the pic of the bird who sat there so peacefully at the shore seeming to be enjoying the romance of it all.
No lifeguard was on duty so the kids had fun!

I admit that I had to pressure Claudia to get her to make the jump! LOL!
Sometimes no matter how high you fold up your jeans, it just isn't high enough!

Sailing Long Beach

We needed to go potty so we stopped by our old stomping grounds! Claudia and I "grew up" inside the halls of FBC Long Beach.  We each learned so much about life there, and now we're each glad we're free! Sometimes the Lord puts us in places to mold us, but as we grow, we realize if we had stayed there we would do nothing more than grow mold! LOL!
Inside the church, Claudia was teasing Zack...
These two can thank their mama - they'll never know a legalistic life.
Dinner at an Italian Restaurant on 2nd Street.
Claudia teasing Zack some more!
Gina and Claudia in a serious conversation!
A stop at the Cupcakery on 2nd Street - $2.95 for a cupcake!!! dang!
But, they were GOOD!!!

I wish you were coming with us on our house boat trip to Lake Powell, the kids would have a blast together and I need to learn some fotography from you. You are GOOD!

I'm finally getting caught up on blogs! LOL!! You're too funny! It is such an awesome thing that we were able to reconnect and pick up almost where we left off - and definitely more comfortable in our own skin. The old us - goodness! We were so restricted, but I think we did it to ourselves even more.. no one else seemed to have the same issues we had!! Ok, I'll stop - I know we can go on and on with this subject! Your kids are so cool, and it's so evident they won't grow up the way we did.. they are their own persons and that is totally awesome. Nothing wrong with that!
