Welcome 38!

The future is looking bright! It is not that everything in life is perfect or settled down completely for that matter, but you know life is good and today I was free to realize that as I celebrated my birthday with Zack and Sophia.

Thanks to all of you who sent me text messages and called me on my special day! Some of you surprised me, and that was very cool. The calls began at 7:30AM from those out of state - OMW - I don't get up that early anymore! Anyhow, THANKS to all who made today one of the best birthdays ever.

We had fun playing at the beach! After which I took the kiddos to Rubys for dinner. It was so peaceful to look out on the neverending ocean. It reminded me of how vast God's love is for us. Corny for some, but He speaks in the tiny moments. The kids call the ocean a pool!

These two make my world go round...!!!! (in a balanced kind of way)
Anyone up for surfing lessons - Zack found his spot! He's dying to learn, but I need to find someone other than me to teach him!
There were many cool parts of today - smiles, giggles, phone calls, bday gifts, cake, ocean breeze, sleeping in, etc... I loved it all. The most surprising thing that happened today was an email that popped into my box from Jennifer - my best friend from high school!!!!! I haven't heard from her in ten years and have been wanting to make contact again. I knew she remembered my bday each year as I have hers, but I NEVER expected to hear from her today - 20.3 years since we graduated!!!
Anyhow, we're scheduled to get together next week. It will be great to reconnect and to meet each other's kids.
Thanks to all who made today special! And, thank you God for showing me how okay it can be to be single and unattached.

I hope it was wonderful! You sure do make 38 look good!

My kids use the word "koopatza" for any size body of water. I think it means bath, but they call the pool the same thing and when I showed them a picture of the lake we go to they called it "bolshoi koopatza." Maybe I should look that one up.

Hope 38 treats you well and brings you lots of blessings.

:) Krista

P.S. I LOVE Ruby's. It is on the list of things to do when we bring the kids to SoCal for their first time next year. :) Yum!
