Christmas 2012 Photo Shoot

These are just a few photos from our shoot.  They're not the best shots, but I have so many duplicates and not enough time to weed through them to find the best ones.  However, this gives you a glimpse of our day in downtown Dallas.  The kids are getting big!  Sophia (9), Zack (10.5), Josh (12), Ken (17.5)

Our family may not be what some call traditional, but we sure are pretty normal and our lives are full of a whole lot of love!

This last picture was the setting for what ended up being my favorite shot.  This photo isn't the one that's on the card, but you get the idea.  Give Sophia a nice smile and move Ken a little to the left so you can see his entire face and there you have it - our 2012 framed Christmas photo. :)  Taken in the center of downtown Dallas.

A Few Fall Pictures

The lighting wasn't great today.  There wasn't much sunshine, but we decided to go out and have some photo fun anyhow.  Here are a few of the pics we were able to capture.

Sophia's School Fall Frenzy 2012

I took a few pics before we left for the school.

Do vampire teeth ever get old?!
Their favorite part of Fall Frenzy every year is getting their hair colored.

The social butterfly in her zone.
Aubrie enjoyed playing many of the games too.  Now that Torie is in school with Sophia we see a lot of them at school events.
What do you think?  Is Sophia competitive?

 Our precious vampire cousins!
Gina volunteered to work Sophia's classes' booth for an hour.  She is so good with little kids. I love watching and listening from afar.
Twins?  Everyone think so but an 18 month difference in age means NOPE not a chance.

The most creative booth was jail.  You could pay 3 tickets to put someone in jail, and then someone had to pay 1 ticket to free them.  Surprisingly, many kids were jailed.
Sophia in her zone as I watch from afar.  It's interesting to see and listen to your kids interact with their friends.
Volunteer of the year!  Ummmm, don't look for a sign in our yard!  That's what they do here in North Texas.  Whoever is the best volunteer of any given month, is awarded a yard sign saying so.

And just as quickly as the night began, it ended.  We headed off to our favorite local Italian restaurant.  It is a little hole in the wall and every time we walk in we comment on how in the world we ended up in Texas with all these country bumpkins.  Of course, the Dallas area is full of very modern people, but in this restaurant gathers every person who actually looks like Californians think Texans look!  BUT, the food is AMAZING! :)
